ENVIRONMENTAL CHALLENGE INTERPRETATION
In this activity, we were asked to create our own interpretation of the poem "Africa, My Africa" by David Diop, focusing on the theme of environmental protection. As students, we took the powerful message of the poem and connected it to how we see the environment today along with its struggles, its beauty, and the need to protect it.
We expressed our ideas by writing a poem and creating an illustration on Oslo paper, making sure to be as creative and original as possible. It was a meaningful activity that allowed us to combine literature, art, and environmental awareness in one project. Through this task, we learned how poetry can inspire action and how we, as young people, can use our voices for change.
