EDITORIAL CARTOONING
In this activity, we were asked to express our personal thoughts and perspectives on the issue of former President Duterte’s arrest and his being sent to The Hague, Netherlands, through editorial cartooning. As students, it was a chance for us to reflect on current events and translate our opinions into powerful visual art.
We created our editorial cartoons on short bond paper, using symbols, metaphors, and simple yet meaningful drawings to show how we feel about the situation. Along with the cartoon, we wrote a short explanation to help others understand the message behind our work. This task helped us practice critical thinking and creativity, while also encouraging us to be more aware and involved in social and political issues.
